In Napoleon Hill’s book, Think and Grow Rich, the ninth step towards riches is called “Power of the Master Mind”.

If you haven’t read this classic yet, add it to your reading list immediately.

Many of the most influential people in business attribute much of their success to this one book.

I’ve probably read it 8 or 9 times now… and just started reading it again. Because as Jim Rohn says, “Repetition is the mother of skill.”

Let me give you a quick background on the book… then we’ll dive into what is meant by the “Master Mind” principle and why it’s vitally important to your success, and we’ll finish up with steps on forming your own Master Mind alliance group.

Think And Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill

In 1908, as part of Napoleon Hill’s work for a magazine, he interviewed Andrew Carnegie. Carnegie’s company, US Steel, was the first billion dollar company in the world…. and he believed that success could be distilled into simple principles  that would make it attainable for anyone to achieve great financial success.

Carnegie commissioned Hill to go on an exhaustive 20 year study of 500 of the most successful people of their time.

Hill interviewed Henry Ford, Theodore Roosevelt, John D. Rockefeller, Dr. Alexander Graham Bell, Charles Schwab, Thomas Edison, among many others…

… and in 1937 published, Think and Grow Rich, which would become one of the most influential and best-selling books of all time.

This work is referenced as the “science of personal achievement”. And yes, it’s a science.

The “Master Mind” Principle

Hill says…

“The “Master Mind” may be defined as: Coordination of knowledge and effort, in a spirit of harmony, between two or more people, for the attainment of a definite purpose.

Economic advantages may be created by any person who surrounds himself with the advice, counsel, and personal cooperation of a group of men who are willing to lend him wholehearted aid, in a spirit of perfect harmony. This form of cooperative alliance has been the basis of nearly every great fortune.”

After 20 years of studying the most successful people in the world at his time, he realized that if you analyze the record of anyone who has accumulated a great fortune (even those who accumulated modest fortunes) either consciously or unconsciously employed the Master Mind principle.

So, if you’re not currently in Master Mind group, it’s time to form one… asap!

How to Form Your Master Mind Alliance Group

Here are a few simple steps to form your Master Mind group…

Step 1 – Read Think and Grow Rich

Step 2 – Define your Master Mind group’s purpose

Maybe you decide that your purpose will be to forward your own and other member’s real estate investing businesses.

Step 3 – Set a goal for when your first meeting will be

Step 4 – Invite potential members

If you don’t know who to invite, it’s time to start networking.

If you’re group is going to focus specifically on real estate investing, start by going to your local REIA meetings. Call all the real estate investor marketing in your area… seek out like minded people who want to grow their businesses through cooperation… and invite ‘em to participate in your Master Mind alliance.

Step 5 – Decide when, where, and how often you’ll meet

I’m in a Master Mind group that meets quarterly in person. We have four members (all biz owners) – a publisher, an attorney, a musician, and myself. We rotate where we meet based on where each member lives.

I’m in another that meets monthly by phone.

Alrighty, now get out there and form your Master Mind group.

How to Make 2011 Your Greatest Year Ever

It all starts with setting goals.

… and I know what you’re probably thinking, “Oh noooooo, not goal setting again…”

Yep, goal setting.

Because unless you know where you’re headed, how in the world could you ever get there.

Think about it…

You decide to go on a vacation. What’s the first thing that you have to do? Decide where you’re going. Then, you can backtrack to where you are today and take the steps necessary to get there.

It’s the same thing when planning your life. You must first know where you’re going… so that you can break down the steps to get there and start moving in that direction.

Many people that set goals (a very small % of the population) choose the end of the year as a time to evaluate their lives and recommit to doing whatever it takes to get what they want.

So I thought I’d pass this video by ya where Brian Tracy walks you through a quick goal setting exercise. It’s less than 2 min so go ahead and check ‘er out…

I get this question a lot (or some version of it).

So, to give you an answer if it’s on your mind too, check out the pics below.

FreedomSoft Reloaded Review – Candid Review & Walk Through

I’ve had a bunch of emails coming in lately from subscribers and students asking my candid thoughts on FreedomSoft Reloaded. That’s the fancy new version of FreedomSoft that Preston Ely is opening registration for this week.

You may have heard some people call it a “miracle” (c’mon really… it’s a piece of software) or some people call it a scam – which it’s not.

With so many contrary opinions, I wanted to show you exactly…

=> What FreedomSoft actually does and doesn’t do

=> What I like about it and what I don’t

=> Who it may be right for and who it’s not

Since the original launch of FreedomSoft, they’ve added some new software functions and made some improvements. They’ve also added something to help you get private money (which I’m happy about :-)

But, there’s one area in the system that I feel they missed the boat. I’ll explain more in my video review below.

FreedomSoft Reloaded – Let’s Cut Through The Hype

Ok, I want to get a few things off my chest before you watch the review. So…

1) FreedomSoft does not do deals for you

If you think you can invest in FS and money will just start pouring into your bank account, wrong.

FS is a collection of tools, systems, templates… that are integrated so that you can run your business all in one place. It can help save time, be more efficient, better organized, get more done in less time.

If you don’t take action and actually put it to work in your biz, you just donated your hard earned moolah to Preston.

2) If you have 8 other REI courses and programs sitting on your shelf collecting dust, don’t invest in FS.

I repeat… if you are a chronic buyer (and not user) of REI education programs and systems, STOP!

Stop wasting your money on programs that you never actually study and implement.

If you’re unwilling to take action and get over your uncomfortable-ness, get a job. Work for someone else.

Because the only way you’ll ever be successful, is to get over your fears by taking massive action.

3) Don’t get caught up in the hype

When you watch my review, if you decide it’s right for you… you decide it is a valuable asset to your business… that you’ll put it to work for you, that’s great.

My biggest thing…

I want to make sure you’re making an educated decision… and that you’ll use it.

4) If you invest in FS through my link, do I make a commission?

Yes.

But, as you’ll see, I’m going to give you my honest opinion and feedback… because it’s definitely not for everyone.
