This is a great series…and excellent video by Julie. It’s true you can often get caught up in your own head with fear and negativity. Once you pull out of that, and surround yourself with positive people, things always seem to turn around.

    Looking forward to next week!

Thanks so much AnotherSteph!! Surrounding yourself with positive people is such a big thing … I never realized how critical it is until I began to reflect on the times when things were tough and how I got through and it’s almost always come back to the people I was spending the most time with.

Thanks so much for allowing me to kick off this great series Patrick. It was truly an honour.

Sooo true, Julie! Great advice for aspiring real estate investors….or really anyone who aspires to do anything! I really think a lot of people underestimate the importance of things like this and focus only on the nuts and bolts, but the nuts and bolts will only take you so far.

Very well done Julie and a beautiful view, I might add. Great advice for those that are just starting out. Fear can be paralyzing and keep people from achieving their dreams, but telling yourself that you have nothing to lose, is a great way to overcome fear. You are a great inspiration. keep rocking Julie.

Great kick off for the Best and Brightest Julie :-) Love your thoughts on focus and control! It’s so easy to get distracted by the next “bright shiny object” if we lose our focus.

    Awesome video, Julie!

That’s such an important point you bring up about not focusing on what’s wrong in your life, but instead being grateful for the good things. Even though this is easier said than done (especially when times are tough), it really does help to put everything into perspective.

    :)

    Thanks Steph & Linda.
You know I was reading some old notes this morning and found this quote from De Bono on simplicity …

“Because simplicity seems easy we believe it is easy to achieve. When it is not easy to achieve we give up too quickly.”

It’s funny because, like you said, the tips I gave are basic stuff. It’s really quite simple. But just because it’s simple doesn’t mean it’s easy to do. And that is why I think a lot of people forget or give up and don’t get the positive results they are looking for. I’m so glad you appreciated my reminder.
