ok ok ok … I’m so guilty of hopping around the different aspects of real estate investing. So, today, I take your advice, and I’m going to focus on $80k to $120k homes that are vacant and preferably in probate. Thanks for reminding me of how simple it can be and instead of banging my head on the wall because I’m not getting deals, go out and look for the specific deal I want. Thanks Patrick :)

Patrick…Thank you soooo much for that tip…I have been tempted many times with all the webinars out there and systems being advertised that it makes my head spin…but I do have a system and I just need to remember, even if its slow, to keep FOCUSED ON THAT ONE THING!…so again, thank you for reminding me. We do get a little impatient and think diversifying in the midst of a beginning investment strategy will make us more money but it can be become a dangerous thing for failure.

Great Advice Patrick, I believe in what you said 100%. I was floundering around in the beginning until I decided to just follow one strategy and nothing else. It really gave me direction. I will say that from time to time I find myself being pulled in another investing direction but have to remind myself about being Laser focused.

WOW!!!!! Patrick You hit the nail right on the head. I have seen so many good investors start out so excited about what they were going to do and then they go and “chase butterfilies” and never find their niche. These folks are always planning and never taking action. I understand this because we all go through this. It is so easy to get “of the bunny trail” and never get back on. Then we get depressed and quit and we never know what happened. This advice is so crucial to anyone investing in this market. JUST STAY FOCUSED!!!!!

    Patrick,

Even though I have been aware of this fact, your advice has nonetheless come at a VERY good time for me. As always, thank you. You do us all a great service.

  • Diane

Patrick, I can relate to this, I am guilty of trying to go too many ways at once and not getting anywhere…It does not work! Now I am finding that niche and sticking to it. Thank you

So True! When I was a wandering generality so was the productivity($$$) in my business. Now I am a meaningful specific, well – sometimes I am still a wandering specific, and productivity is GOOD!! Thx

You are right Patrick. It was great to see you in Chicago at the seminar. I met a few people like who were diffused, but then met many more who were laser-focused deal-makers.

Yolanda … you got that right! Stay focused on that ONE thing.

Scott … sounds like you lived this first hand. That’s awesome that you got laser focused and pulled through. That’s what it takes!

Justin … it’s funny how that happens isn’t it? You must be in the flow.

Marsha … thanks for sharing your thoughts with us. And you’re right. We do all go through this from time to time. But, as you know, it’s vitally important to stay focused.
