Are You Using This Killer REI Marketing Tool?

Sunday, March 28th, 2010

Real_Estate_Investing_ToolIf you’re not using this killer real estate investing marketing tool, I don’t know what’s wrong with you.

Ok, maybe you just haven’t heard about it yet. If that’s the case, we’re cool. Otherwise, c’mon!

Here are just a few things I LOVE about this …

Killer Real Estate Investing Marketing Tool

- It’s super easy to use (a HUGE plus for all us non-techies) … and when I say super easy, I mean it. There are only like 4 buttons on it. Whoohoo!

- It’s an inexpensive investment (you can buy one at Wal-Mart)

- It’s fits in your pocket

- It can be used to AUTOMATICALLY generate buyer, seller, tenant leads on the Internet

- It’s my new best friend

- And MUCH MORE

Watch the video below to learn more …

There’s no good excuse for not making online video a part of your marketing plan. It used to be incredibly time consuming, cumbersome, and costly.

But, not anymore.

Here’s a quick action plan for you to implement video marketing into your REI biz …

3 Steps to Online Video Marketing in Your Real Estate Investing Business

1) Buy a Flip Video Camera

You can check ‘em out on the Flip video website (not an affiliate link … in other words, I don’t get paid if you click that link and buy one … I’m just a raving fan :-)

If you want to get your hands on one today, I know Wal-Mart and Best Buy carry them.

2) Sign Up for a YouTube Account

This will only take you a few minutes so head on over to YouTube now and set up your account.

3) Publish Videos Online

Do a “We Buy Houses” video and “localize” it like I mentioned in the video. Shoot a video at every property that you’re currently marketing … whether you’re marketing it for rent, lease option, owner financing, for sale, whatever.

And then, you’ll be able to enjoy a new source of leads flowing into your REI biz.

Alrighty gals and guys … it’s a beautiful day and the beach is calling.

Catch you later,

~ Patrick

I bought one a year and ahalf ago and was using it back then, but got away from using the flip. Thanks for reminding me.

I’ve got my flip camera and love it!

I also have a digital camera that can do video, too. Both come in handy when I’m doing a video of a house or a walk-through.

You can also use them for documentation of damages before/after a tenant moves in to a home. Walk through with them and tell them anything that they see wrong. When they move out, you can prove any damages that come forward if needed.

    Thanks for the tip, Patrick!

    Patrick,
Great Idea I will get one soon!
Do you need to learn any editing programs or does youtube have on in it?

    Keep up the good work…
    John Bragg, Member

  • Patrick Riddle

    Sounds great John.

You can do minor editing in the Flip software that comes with it.

All that I typically do is trim the front and back of the video. But, you can include title slides I’m pretty sure and some other basic stuff.

If you want to do more editing, you could use Adobe Premier Pro or other similar video editing program.

But, I like keeping it simple.

Thanks for the great marketing info! After Googling flip video cam comparisons, it appears the Kodak Zi8 has many more features for about the same price, and is highly recommened over the Flip Just thought you’d like to know.
    Thanx, Alan

  • Patrick Riddle

Alan … I’ve heard some talk recently about the Kodak one but haven’t checked it out myself. Thanks for the suggestion.

  • http://whitecollarrentals.com/test.html George Eckenrode

I do use the Flip but I was advised to NOT get the HD as there were a lot more editing tools available for the regular version vs. the HD version. What do you think?

  • Patrick Riddle

    Thanks for the tip George.

I have the HD, and it works great for me. But, I only do very simple editing (all I do is trim the beginning and end and upload it) …

So, any of y’all who want more editing features, check out the regular Flip and you may want to check out the Kodak video cam too as per Alan’s suggestion.

Hey, I’ve got one of these! Got it about a year and a half ago. I try to use it when viewing properties.

I do agree with you, the human consumer loves looking at video! Far superior to written ads and better than a still pic! Youre brilliant for bringing light to this topic, Patrick!

  • Patrick Riddle

    You’re welcome Chuck.

Dave … thanks for all your comments here. Yep, people eat up videos. That will be part of your marketing plan that we put together for you. I’m Looking forward to working with you 1 on 1 soon.

How do we begin to predict what the housing market will do? No offense, but everyone was wrong about it a fewyears ago, so why do we think it will be better in the future? Just because housing is cheaper and rates are lower? Unemployment is still a serious problem. Not to mention, the debt our country seems to accumulate every day. I personally think waiting is the best option right now.

  • Patrick Riddle

Christopher … You bring up some very valid concerns. I think it’s going to take our country much more change to turn this around long term. But, that doesn’t mean that there isn’t a TON of money to be made right now as an investor.

If you’re concerned about taking risk in today’s market, choose an REI strategy with little to no risk … like wholesaling. Never buy a property that you don’t already have sold.

And if Warren Buffet (probably THE most successful investor of our times) is moving into real estate right now, I think that’s a pretty good indicator. Check this out … http://www.gurufocus.com/news.php?id=89577
