Tuesday, February 9th, 2010

I didn’t believe it … but then I saw it with my own eyes. You’ve gotta check out this sweetheart deal that the FDIC gave to Indymac.

Check out what Chris Rock, a MustKnowInvesting.com student (and Twitter follower) had to say about it:

I saw this yesterday, Patrick. Just as outraged as you are. RIDONKULOUS! Makes you wonder how come the mainstream media hasn’t been crying foul…at least not that I’ve noticed. Have you seen/heard about this anywhere else?

    Yo jp,

I googled “The Indymac Slap” this morning and saw that there are a handful of bloggers picking up the story and sharing it since yesterday.

I bet it hits mainstream media in another week or so.

WOW!!! What a story. Even as a Canadian I can appreciate the craziness.

Now… onto a totally unrelated topic. I saw on another blog that MKI has a Facebook Fan page… how does one find said fan page and become a fan?? There is no button to behold?? Or something like that…

Now don’t THAT just chap ya butt???? Sure explains why so many folks are getting stonewalled on their loan mods! Wonder how many other banks got this sweetheart deal?!?

Hey Bill … good question man. Probably more than we’d like to know.

  8. Matt on February 9th, 2010 at 10:30 pm

Enough I’m sure…in some way shape or form.

I happened to somewhat “know” (slightly) someone who is working a trial loan payment right now through IndyMac. Man I wish him the best of luck…think he just started making trial payments, but it’ll probably drag on for months in the “trial” and then even if it gets approved after that!

  9. Patrick Riddle on February 10th, 2010 at 9:56 am

True Matt. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Here’s a another comment that I got through email yesterday:

“I saw this earlier and yes, it did make my blood boil.”

    I hear ya Phil.

Do you think we could partner up to get a deal like this?!? Wow…that’s all I have to say. It sounds like I need more “friends” in high places like these guys!

Crazy video isn’t? I posted the same video on my site but I don’t think I got as many comments so it was hard to get others opinions. At least you got some.

Those guys do a really great job at making it easy to see the big picture.
