What “Not to Say” in Your Real Estate Negotiations
When negotiating in real estate, one should never say the words “contract” or “sign.” Both words have a negative connotation in the minds of others. A simple change in the words you say can have a big difference in your bottom line.
Instead of saying “contract,” say “agreement.” Instead of saying “sign,” ask them to “OK the agreement.” This makes the process seem less formal and more comfortable. Just hearing the words “contract” or “sign” can kill a deal. Soooo, watch your mouth.
